"California Gurls" is an electropop song by American singer-songwriter Katy Perry. It serves as the lead single of her upcoming third studio album, Teenage Dream. The song features rapper Snoop Dogg, and was produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin, and Benny Blanco. According to Perry, the song is an answer song to "Empire State of Mind". The song was originally intended to be sent to mainstream and rhythmic airplay on May 25, 2010. However, after clips from Perry's new album were leaked online, her label released the song to radio on to May 7, 2010 and also began to stream it on her website.

Wolfgang Gartner

Wolfgang Gartner (Joey Youngman) is a Californian electro / tech house producer and DJ. He was previously known as Joey Youngman and produced deep house until late 2007.
He began producing electronic music at age 11 by syncing a drum machine to a keyboard via MIDI, and taught himself to DJ at age 12 with a 4-track tape recorder and 2 tape decks.
In 2004 after a year of successful releases, he signed to the San Francisco-based Blue Collar Entertainment agency and began touring.
In 2007, he made the official switch from Joey Youngman to Wolfgang Gartner and began producing electro house, tech house, and techno. He owns and runs the label Kindergarten, and previous to 2007 ran the labels Fetish Recordings, and Jackin Tracks.
Wolfgangs style is similar to artists in the electro scene like Felguk, thick and gritty.
