'Boys Noize has compiled 12 modern acid jams done by BNR artists and homies like Feadz, Joakim & Krikor and Brodinski tributing 20 years of Acid.

How to make a classic Acid track ?

First you need a Roland-Tb 303 Bassline which – back in 1982 – was made for musicians to replace the actual bass or guitar. It’s manual is the most annoying thing to read because it teaches you classic music lessons, no wonder that the idea of the Roland TB 303 been a real instrument have failed and noone wanted to buy the it.

In the middle of the 80′s Dj Pierre, member of Phuture produced a 12min track “Acid Trax” with just a drumachine and the 303, a total new sound created for the clubs. Shortly after a few more producers put that “useless” thing together with a drummachine like the Roland Tr 808 or 909, programmed a bassline pattern and recorded live sessions, abusing it’s incredible filters: Acid-House was born. A new genre was born.

Because the Roland Tb 303 got so expensive, you can find diverse clones of that wonderful machine and since 1 year you can even make Acid sounds with your phone – Boys Noize presents a compilation full of new, modern acid, made in all kinds of ways.

Some, well most, of the producers on this compilation have used the classic Roland303, some used a 303 clone, a 303 plug-in and some even rocked the 303 iphone app.

Some of the producers on this compilation spent their time with all kinds of analog gear and mixers to have the original “warm” sound they love and some others just use a fucking laptop. can you hear the difference ? well, i can – but do you really ?

And why release new Acid tracks when you can find the best ones made 10-20 years ago ?

Because this is some fresh Acid you havent heared before, produced by incredible young talents that know everything about the Acid-life, producers that take this genre to another level, into the future.

Ivory Tower

Not a world or atmosphere where intellectuals engage in pursuits that are disconnected from the practical concerns of everyday life, but the fun, piano-riddled force of 'Chilly' Gonzales.
Gonzales' single "Never Stop" was released in April 2010. It was his first release under the label Phantasy Sound, founded by Erol Alkan. This single was released under the name 'Chilly' Gonzales. Chilly made a remix of Boys Noize & Erol Alkan's single "Waves" as a B-Side entitled "Chilly Gonzales' Piano Remake". Boys Noize Records has released two other singles for Gonzalez, "I am Europe" and "Knight Moves" in August 2010. "Ivory Tower" produced by Boys Noize was independently released by Chilly himself in August 2010.

The highly anticipated release of the Kontact Me remix EP has finally arrived.

The original track received massive global support and often named the hottest track from his opus “Power”.
Boys Noize (Alex Ridha) called the hottest newcomers to remix:
Toronto’s finest youngstar Rynecologist (Just been added the Boys Noize Records roster), Jan Driver returned a heavy weight techno version that is gonna destroy any club or festival, Dear old friend Housemiester did his “dirty bitch” version and, yes, it's very dirty.
As a surpise 3 members of indie-punk band 'The Faint' teamed up as 'Depressed Buttons' and show how good their understanding of good electronic club music is. French boys Beataucue did a fantastic remix not featured on the EP, but worth a listen, as well as John Roman's powerful edit!

Late Of The Pier

The brand new single from the four piece, dance punk band from Castle Donnington featured the january release 'Blueberry' along with a new track titled 'Best in the Class'. These works have been much awaited since thier 2008 debut album 'Fantasy Black Channel', featuring such singles as 'Space and the Woods', 'Bathroom Gurgle' and 'The Bears Are Coming'.
Thier style can somewhat be considered similar to Metronomy and Klaxons. Taste it in Focker!
