Band of Horses, previously known as Horses, is an American indie rock band formed in 2004 in Seattle by Ben Bridwell and Mat Brooke. Their first two albums were released on the Sub Pop record label, while their third album will be on Columbia Records.
Their most popular single 'The Funeral', was taken from their 2006 debut album 'Everything All The Time'. It has become majorly popular through things like being sampled by Kid CuDi, used in adverts, used in the film The Stepfather, appeared on EA's Skate, played on and episode of One Tree Hill, Criminal Minds, CSI, Mercy, The Best Years, Numbers, Kyle XY, and lots of more appearances. So yeah, the song is kinda a big deal.
